Star trails above the 100 years old Swedish storehouse
Star trails above the 100 years old storehouse in Töcksfors with the autumn colours in the trees on the sides.
I thought our more than 100 years old storehouse (the so called “Stabburet”) in the garden, would make a nice foreground with the autumn trees on the sides, for an evening of star trail photographing.
Unfortunately the session was abrupted by a thin cloud cover and later thick low hanging fogg – so the total planned exposure time was more than halved to an actual total of just over 1:30 hours…
The small gaps in the lines are due to me trying out various camera settings before setteling on first 8 x 5 min at ISO 320 and later 27 x 2 min at ISO 800 (all are shot at 24 mm and f/4).
The place is nice a dark at Bortle 4 (or 1.44 watt per steradian per square metre) and is 6 km outside of Töcksfors in Sweden.
All 34 subs was taken on 18 October 2018 between 21:30 and 23:10 with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III and Canon EF 24-70mm 1:4 L IS USM lense.
