Scandinavian Summer Midnight was taken directly North at midnight on the longest day of 2020 in Mid-scandinavia (Värmland in Sweden).
To achieve a result which best represented what my eyes actually saw that night I composed this photograph by 7 subframes which were merged into one;
By taking 3 under exposed shots and 3 over exposed shots – all with various exposure times – and one “correctly” exposed shot it was possible to bring out both the darkest and lightest areas and merge those into one common photograph!
