Panorama of Magemosen by night
To test a new technique I went out to the neighbouring bogland but unfortunately low hanging clouds came in from the North-East and spoiled the Milky Way panorama I was trying to catch.
The Milky Way is stretching in an arc from the middle left side of the panorama to the horizon just left of the building blocks (where I live) in the right side – but the technique wasn’t successful (or there were to much light pollution) and thus the Milky Way doesn’t reveal itself in this photo anyways…
The entire panorama consists of 15×10 sub frames but was planned to about 200 sub frames (but the SD-card went corrupt preventing the panorama from reaching a 180º towards the left side).
Well it was a test, so I will just have to try again – however the clouds both spoiled and save the scene, as they look kinda cool 😄
The strong light cast in the clouds comes from the Swedish town of Helsingborg and the second strongest cast in the clouds (near the right edge) comes from Landskrona also in Sweden.
The full dimensions of this photograph is 21448 × 4591 px but WordPress can handle those kind of large dimensions… 🙄
